Logan And Sarah Smith

Logan And Sarah SmithMoved to Ireland in 2004 after a call from the Lord in 2001 to move to the country. They were sent from their home church, Gateway Christian Fellowship in West Haven, CT, through whom Logan was ordained as a minister. Given that Sarah was an EU citizen, entrance into the country was swift and welcoming for both of the Smiths.

After prayer and a week of journeying up and down the east coast, they decided on Arklow. They were told that Arklow was the 'armpit of Ireland', and they decided, after prayer, that this town was in just as much need of the gospel as any other, and made Arklow their base.

They opened an internet and gaming café in Aughrim, Co. Wicklow, which, after six months and much difficulty, closed its doors. Their time there was not fruitless, as they were able to speak into the lives of many of the families of that community through the business.

After the business closed, both Logan and Sarah spent many hours in prayer. This was a very difficult time for both of them. When Sarah met Cliff through her job at Xtra Vision, she immediately gave him Logan's phone number, sensing that the Lord might finally be opening a door for them into true fellowship and ministry.

Logan met with Cliff, Sarah met with Ericka, and bonds of friendship were formed almost immediately. Two weeks later, Logan and Sarah traveled with Cliff to Dungarvan to view the town. The Smiths sensed almost immediately that this was the town in which they would share the gospel, and that Cliff and Ericka were the team with which they would partner.
